About me

TheKotlinDev.com is owned by John Mone otherwise referred to as “me”.

I am a developer/maker that works in the UK with experience developing with Kotlin in the travel and tourism industry as well as the financial sector.

Like most, I began my professional career as a Java dev (slightly before the rise of 1.8), working with Spring Boot and the rise of the microservice architecture.
Kotlin has transformed what was my goto heavy and laborious sledgehammer into a fresh and “straight to the point” paint brush.

I look forward to posting about my journey with Kotlin, the many exciting projects happening around the JVM and sharing my own hints, tips and gotchas along the road.
